Math Placement Test

Welcome to the University of Central Florida! We hope that you are excited about your upcoming Orientation program.

In order to ensure a smooth academic transition, UCF requires all first-time-in-college (FTIC) students to take the Math Placement Test (MPT) at least two weeks before attending Orientation.

The MPT is an assessment of the math skills that students have acquired and is designed to determine proficiency level and therefore placement or exemption for math courses. The MPT will help students, with the assistance of their academic advisors, select math courses in which they are most prepared and will be successful.

Please Note:

As a student here at UCF, you are expected to uphold the UCF Creed and demonstrate the highest standard of academic and personal integrity. When taking the MPT, any attempt to engage in cheating, dishonest conduct, obtaining an unfair advantage and collusion may lead to disciplinary sanctions or other penalties. To avoid being placed in a math course that may not accurately reflect your skills and abilities, students should do their best and take the test seriously as the results will determine their math course sequence.
