Correspondence For Distance Learning Students

The University Testing Center (UTC) administers Correspondence exams for Distance Learning students. Currently, proctoring services are available for paper-and-pencil and on-line test formats. Correspondence exams are available by appointment only, and you must allow at least 2 weeks to complete the registration process and schedule an appointment. The testing cost for each Correspondence exam is $48.00.

Exam Registration Procedures

Test Dates: Correspondence exams are administered Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. All exams are by appointment only. Exams must be scheduled to allow full time to be given prior to the close of business on that day. Example : If your exam time limit is 3 hours, then you would need to schedule an appointment no later than 3 hours before the close of business. An exam 3 hours in length would be scheduled no later than 2:00 PM.

Cost: The registration fee of $48.00 is due on the day of the exam. It is strongly recommended that you arrive at least 15-mintes prior to your scheduled appointment in order to make payment. Payments for UTC testing services must be paid in the form of check or money order at UTC. Your Driver’s License number must be written at the top of the check or money order. No other method of payment will be accepted until further notice.

How to Register

1. E-mail Linda Anderson at the University Testing Center at least 2 weeks prior to the date you anticipate taking the exam. The information below MUST be included in the email.

  • Your Name
  • Expected Date of Exam
  • Name of School/Institution
  • Time Limit of Exam (If Available)
  • Test Format (Paper-and-pencil or Online)

2. Notify the institution you are attending to submit the exam to the University Testing Center either by email attachment, fax, mail, or overnight courier service. Appointments will not be confirmed until UTC has received the exam. All materials should be sent by one of the following methods:

3. Contact the University Testing Center approximately 7-10 business days from the date you submitted the request to your institution. An appointment will not be scheduled until all exam materials have been received by the University Testing Center.

NOTE: If you are a student with a documented disability, YOU MUST submit written documentation from your current institution before accommodations can be arranged and an appointment scheduled.
